Environmental regulations

The Biocitech Park is ICPE classified (recognized for the protection of the environment), for several sections governed by French law.

Biocitech Park is registered with the French public administration as an authorized user of the site. As such, Biocitech guarantees to adhere to the administrative authorities’ mandates authorizing use.

In order to fulfil its commitments, Biocitech and Park residents have set up an information system that classifies and manages the quantities of regulated substances at the Park. For example, Biocitech makes an animal (small rodents) testing laboratory and type L2 and L3 confinement laboratories available for residents.

Biocitech’s Operations Management has made sanitation, security and the environment a top priority that involves training, risk prevention, safety measures and regulatory controls.

A QHSE Commission made up of the heads of security from each firm defines the overall security plans and checks that they are applied, and implements the QHSE Policy defined in the charter.

Biocitech assures the collection, identification, transportation and disposal of special waste materials, as well as the control of all waste or outflow that could present a risk to the environment.
